Prodyut Kanti (P. K.) Sarkar is a science communicator, astronomy outreach enthusiast, and the principal coordinator of WSCosmos. Professionally, he serves as a Senior Passenger Train Manager with Indian Railways. Alongside his professional responsibilities, he has long been driven by a deep interest in science, learning, education, and the exploration of humanity’s place in the universe.

Although WSCosmos is coordinated and actively led by him, the initiative is fundamentally a collective endeavour that draws strength from the enthusiasm, insights, and participation of individuals from diverse walks of life. Its present journey began in early 2024, when a shared desire to nurture curiosity, scientific temper, and meaningful questioning gradually evolved into a structured outreach initiative.

Through WSCosmos, he seeks to create opportunities for learners to engage with science not merely as a collection of facts, but as a dynamic process of observation, inquiry, reasoning, and discovery. His work is guided by the belief that learning is a shared journey in which educators and learners alike remain co-explorers in an ever-unfolding world.
